Edwin van Andel started hacking at the age of 13. Decades later his relationship with the hacker community is still the main driving force in his life. His dream to bring the brilliant minds of all hackers he knows together in one room and to hack everything that is brought in is something that he is getting closer to. Together with the “Guild of Grumpy Old Hackers”, he is actively guiding and leading young hackers in the right direction in order to create his ultimate goal - a safe society through a safer internet.
In 2003 started his own company called Yafsec, with the sole purpose of guiding companies and IT dealers through the dark woods of the ever evolving security forest. Today he is the CEO of hacker company Zerocopter
Senior Expert on Cyber Security, e-Governance Academy I Estonia
In 2017 to 2018, Maigre served as the Director of NATO Cooperative Cyber Defense Center of Excellence (CCDCOE) in Tallinn, which is a multinational hub of cyber defense expertise for NATO.
Between 2012 and 2017, Maigre worked as the Security Policy Adviser to Estonian Presidents Kersti Kaljulaid and Toomas Hendrik Ilves, being the President’s chief advisor on domestic and international security issues, including cyber defence.
From 2010-2012 Merle Maigre was at NATO HQ in the Policy Planning Unit of the Private Office of NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen.
Merle has been decorated with the Estonian Defence Forces distinguished service medal (2018) and the Order of Merit of the Estonian Ministry of Defence (2018), the Dutch Commander of the Order of Oragne-Nassau (2018), the Order of Merit of Poland (2014), and the Commander of the Order of Lion of Finland (2014).

Dr. Catharina Candolin currently works as a cyber expert at OP Financial Group. Before joining OP, Candolin worked for 14 years in the defence sector, including the Finnish Defence Forces and NATO HQ. She did her PhD in 2005 on securing military decision making in cyberspace and has since been active as a public speaker on the topic. Dr. Candolin has a keen interest in all things related to science and technology, and is currently on a learning curve in issues related to the financial sector as well.
